Task 1: Verify AMIS Service
You cannot administer the AMIS Analog Networking or Message Delivery
features until AMIS analog networking has been activated by Lucent
Technologies personnel. To find out if AMIS service has been activated:
1. Log into the DEFINITY AUDIX system as described in
DEFINITY AUDIX
System — Administration,
585-300-507.
2. Enter
display system-parameters customer-options
on the command
line and press .
See Figure 4-1, the Display System-Parameters Customer-Options screen
for a sample of this screen. In different versions of the software, this screen
looks slightly different.
3. Check the
AMIS Analog Networking?
field.
— If the field is displaying a
y
, AMIS service has already been
activated. Go to Task 2.
— If the field is displaying an
n
, AMIS service has not yet been
activated for your system. Contact your Lucent Technologies
representative.
